About this destination
Vlorë is where the two seas meet and where the Riviera officially begins. Skip the in-town beaches and head to the Karaburun peninsula — a roadless wilderness of cliffs and sea caves accessible only by boat — or to Sazan island, a former military base opened to visitors in 2019. The drive over the Llogara pass south towards Dhërmi is one of Europe's great coastal drives.
