The most lived-in neighbourhood in Gjirokastër's old town — a maze of stone lanes below the castle where locals go about daily life largely unchanged by tourism. Best explored without a plan.

Ali Pasha Bridge
A graceful stone arch bridge over the Drino river, a 20–30 minute walk downhill from the old town. Named after the 19th-century pasha who ruled much of southern Albania and northern Greece.

Bazaar Mosque
An 18th-century mosque at the edge of the old bazaar — small, spare, and one of the few still-active places of worship in the historic core. Worth a quiet look.
