Mrizi i Zanave
The slow-food farm that put Albanian cuisine on the map. Long lunches, pastures out the window, raki at the end.

Inside Krujë castle, a few steps from the Skanderbeg museum, with two halls and a large outdoor terrace. The restaurant says its dishes are supplied by the Bardhi family's own farm. Its menu is mountain cooking sold by the head — lamb roasted or baked in clay pots, chicken with porridge or rice pilaf, and mixed grills priced from one person up to five.

Old-town tavern in a stone basement — qofte, tave kosi, local Berat wine on tap.

Tirana
Tirana institution — the place locals send first-time visitors. Big menu, friendly prices, late hours.
