Why Visit Butrint?
Butrint is more than just an archaeological site. It is also a protected natural area surrounded by wetlands, forests, and water. The Theater of Butrint

Where to Stay
Most visitors stay in Ksamil or Sarandë. Ksamil is only about 10 minutes from Butrint and is perfect if you want beaches and turquoise water. Sarandë is around 30 minutes away and offers more restaurants, hotels, nightlife, and seaside promenades.
Best Time to Visit
The best time to visit Butrint is in the morning or late afternoon. Spring and early autumn are ideal because the weather is warm but not too hot.

- → Bring water and snacks because there are no cafés or restaurants inside the park.
- → Wear comfortable shoes because you'll be walking on stone paths and uneven ground.
- → Do not skip the museum inside the Venetian castle. It helps explain the history of the site and is usually included with your ticket.
- → Plan around 2 hours for your visit, or longer if you want to take photos and explore slowly.
