Most people visit on a long day trip from Shkodër — drive to Koman, cross Lake Koman by ferry or boat through a dramatic canyon, then continue up the Shala River to swimming spots like Rrëzë Shosh, where pale pebble beaches meet the cold, blue-green water. It is remote and largely undeveloped: a handful of seasonal guesthouses and beach cafés run in summer, but there are no towns on the river itself.
