Why Borsh belongs on your route
Borsh is the longest beach on the Albanian Riviera — a 7 km arc of smooth grey and white pebbles with almost no development behind it. The mountains come almost to the waterline. There are a handful of small guesthouses and beach bars but nothing like the crowds at Ksamil or Dhërmi. This is the Albanian Riviera before it was discovered. Come in May, June or September — warm enough to swim, empty enough to hear the sea.

What to see in Borsh
Borsh Beach
Seven kilometres of smooth grey pebbles running between mountains and the Ionian Sea. Very few sunbeds, minimal beach bars — this is the Riviera at its most raw and beautiful.
Borsh Castle
A ruined Byzantine castle on the hillside above the village with views over the full length of the beach and out to sea. A 20-minute uphill walk from the beach, rewarded by one of the best views on the Riviera.
Olive Groves
Borsh is surrounded by one of the oldest and largest olive groves in the Balkans — some trees are centuries old. The walk through the grove to the beach is genuinely lovely.
